At BERTRAND GALINDO BARRUETO BARROILHET CIA, we have consolidated a highly specialized Compliance team, recognized for its leadership in Chile and for delivering sophisticated, tailored solutions to both domestic and international clients in the mining, energy, infrastructure, transportation, and engineering sectors. Our approach combines strategic legal advice with practical implementation, positioning us as a trusted partner in navigating the country’s increasingly complex regulatory landscape.
Our experience includes the implementation of Law No. 21,595 on Economic and Environmental Crimes, through the design and deployment of comprehensive Crime Prevention Models (MPD) and the conduct of internal investigations that strengthen corporate governance frameworks. We have also guided companies in adapting their policies to the Karin Law (Law No. 21,643), which introduced robust mechanisms for the prevention, investigation, and sanction of workplace harassment and violence.
The team has played a key role in helping organizations anticipate and adapt to recent labor and social security reforms, such as the 2025 Pension Reform (Law No. 21,735) and Supreme Decree No. 44 on occupational risk management. We design compliance programs aligned with these new obligations, deliver training, and advise on internal investigations of breaches, leveraging strong litigation capabilities. In addition, we are actively advising companies in preparing for the entry into force of Chile’s Cybersecurity Law, addressing regulatory and governance challenges related to artificial intelligence, and implementing policies and compliance programs consistent with the upcoming Data Protection Law (Law No. 21,719).
