Ms. Higuera focuses her professional practice on Corporate and Commercial Law, Litigation, ESG (Environment, Social, and Corporate Governance) and Intellectual Property.
At Bertrand-Galindo Barrueto Barroilhet, she has adviced a wide range of local and foreign clients from various economic sectors in the development of their projects in Chile, particularly in the evaluation, negotiation and preparation of contracts. Additionally, Ms. Higuera has actively participated in both domestic and international judicial proceedings, providing counsel to various clients on matters of civil law and human rights law.
Previously, Ms. Higuera has been part of public-private companies and organizations, providing legal counsel by understanding the different business models and legal needs that each of the structures require.

Mr. Salinas is a lawyer and expert in Public International Law, with vast professional experience in legal advice and consultancy, both in the public and private spheres. Currently, Mr. Salinas is Director and Chief Coordinator of the Identification and Investigation Team (IIT) of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).
During his long diplomatic career, Mr. Salinas has been Ambassador of Chile to the Netherlands (2021-2022) and to the Organization of American States (1997-2002). In addition, he been a legal advisor in the defense of Chile before the International Court of Justice in the cases “Maritime Delimitation” (Peru v. Chile), “Obligation to Negotiate” (Bolivia v. Chile) and, recently, “Silala River” (Chile v. Bolivia).
In addition, Mr. Salinas was Director of Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile (2010-2014) and, subsequently, Chairman and member of the Inter-American Juridical Committee of the OAS (2014-2018).
Mr. Salinas is a renowned Professor of International Law, and currently serves as Professor and Director of the Department of International Law at the Law School of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and as Professor of Public International Law at the University of Chile. [Mr. Salinas/Professor Salinas/Hernán] is also a faculty member of the Masters of Laws in International Law, Trade and Investment at the University of Heidelberg-University of Chile.
Mr. Salinas is a Member of the American Society of International Law, American Law Association and Instituto Hispano-Luso-Americano de Derecho Internacional, of the Chilean Society of International Law, and of the National Group of the Permanent Court of Arbitration. Mr. Salinas is also a member of the Board of the Center for International Studies of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile since 2022.

Ms. Mira has more than 18 years of experience in civil and commercial litigation, both in ordinary and arbitration courts, as well as extensive experience in criminal law and special courts.
Ms. Mira co-heads the Litigation and Dispute Resolution department in our firm, leading a team with extensive experience and skills in both litigation, negotiation and alternative dispute resolution. Ms. Mira has advised domestic and foreign clients in negotiations and judicial proceedings before all types of courts, including the Supreme Court and Courts of Appeals.
She has been a professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, teaching courses on European Union Institutions and Law, as well as Public International Law.

Mr. Barroilhet concentrates his practice in Economic Regulation, Consumer Protection and Antitrust matters.
Mr. Barroilhet has more than 12 years of litigation experience in the areas of economic regulation, consumer protection, and antitrust. He specializes in the preparation of law reports in legal and economic specialization matters. As an attorney, he has participated in major cases defending the parcels industry against the Santiago International Airport and in class actions representing consumers. Mr. Barroilhet has written on class actions from a comparative perspective, and is an assistant professor in the Department of Economic Law at the Universidad de Chile, where he regularly teaches the microeconomics course and other undergraduate courses in the field of economic regulation.

Mr. Bertrand-Galindo concentrates his professional practice in International Law, ESG, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Corporate and Tax Compliance, Indigenous Law, Communities and Human Rights.
Mr. Bertrand-Galindo is the head of the international practice and the ESG departments at Bertrand-Galindo Barrueto Barroilhet and is also the co-head of the litigation and dispute resolution department at our firm. He was part of Chile’s Legal Team before The Hague International Court of Justice in the Maritime Dispute Case with Bolivia; and he has been a member of the Interamerican Judicial Committee of the Organization of American States. He has been legal advisor of the Presidency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, and the National Human Rights Institute in Chile.
He has advised in his areas of expertise a broad range of local and foreign clients, including states, international organizations, professional associations, and private corporations from various sectors of the economy including mining, energy, technology, the financial sector, and food industries. Mr. Bertrand-Galindo has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer in Chile in ESG by the Leading Lawyers Ranking, and has been awarded, together with the firm, with the Global Law Experts Annual Award in Dispute Resolution in 2023.
Mr. Bertrand-Galindo has been a professor of International Law and Conflicts of Law at Pontificia Universidad Católica. He has also lectured at the Diplomatic Academy, the Judicial Academy, Universidad Adolfo Ibañez, and has been a visiting researcher at Harvard Law School. He has made publications and participated in several local and international lectures and seminars concerning his practice areas.
